Abstract
With the development of China economy, energy consumption increases rapidly, which results in a series of social problems. In these problems, environmental issues are still prominent. The enormous energy consumption deteriorates the environmental quality, and hinders the economy growth. In this paper, Grey relational analysis of `grey theory´ is adopted in the study of the relationship between China´s energy consumption and environmental quality to examine their inherent relevance. A quantitative analysis of the latest 8 years´ data is performed, and various effects on the environment quality are ascertained through different energy types. Scientific reference is offered for readjusting energy consumption structure, reducing environmental stress and improving quality of the environment.
