Abstract :
A novel noninvasive temperature imaging technique is presented. It is based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of molecular diffusion, which depends directly on temperature. The method was validated using a doped polyacrylamide gel phantom in which temperature gradients were induced. The agreement between temperatures calculated using diffusion MR images and temperatures recorded with conventional thermocouples was better than 0.5 C degrees .<>
