  • Abstract
This document presents and validates a new proposed speed vector control of induction motors based on linear GPC (generalized predictive control) law that is used in the speed control loop. In the current loop the presented control scheme incorporates the SVPWM (space vector pulse width modulation) instead of the commonly used GPC regulator: this facilitates the design and reduces the computation cost of the algorithm. This controller has been tested using various simulation and real experiments, with the presence of the load disturbance and measurement noise in the loop signal, in the rotor speed and in the stator current. The obtained results are very satisfactory because a good speed tracking with a electromagnetic torque without chattering phenomenon is obtained in presence of measurement noise and load disturbance. This work shows that the SVPWM-GPC regulator presents very good properties in both adverse and suitable conditions.
