Abstract :
A network model is a fundamental part of a network management solution. Traditional network models have provided views with static behavior and limited state of the network components that they represent. This paper presents an alternative approach to the creation and maintenance of network models that relies on the use of mobile agents and the principle of delegation. In the intelligent network model proposed, the behavior and state are part of the model and both may be dynamically updated. A mobile code environment being used to support the research is described
