Abstract :
This paper examines quality of service (QoS) issues in fast frequency hopping (FFH) CDMA environments employing orthogonal MFSK signaling. The main quality of service parameters examined are bit error rate (BER) and bandwidth. In particular we examine how the BER can be minimised by appropriate allocation and reallocation of modulation and hopping parameters without affecting the bandwidth of variable bit rate and constant bit rate users. Available bit rate users are also considered and methods of maintaining the QoS for higher priority VBR and CBR sources by dynamically controlling the bandwidth occupied by ABR sources are investigated
