            Abstract :
Now it is a trend that active rectifier is used to replace the traditional non-controlled diode bridge in AC-DC-AC industrial drive system. Though direct power control (DPC) of three-phase voltage type active rectifier has drawn more and more attention, conventional DPC results in variable switching frequency, and consequently the system may suffer undesirable harmonics and the input EMI filter may be difficult to design. To alleviate this problem, in this paper, we propose a novel control strategy that combines DPC, Space Vector Modulation (SVM) and predictive control. The stability of the proposed control scheme is examined through Lyapunov´s direct method, and a special control law suitable for transient operation is derived. The experimental results are also presented to verify the proposed scheme.
