Abstract :
A miniaturized high frequency (HF) inverted-V log-periodic dipole antenna (LPDA) which is composed of thin metal wires and mounted over lossy ground is optimally designed using genetic algorithm together with numerical electromagnetic codes (NEC). The simulation results indicate that the optimized antenna behaves well in its operating frequency of 6-30MHz.
