Abstract :
A broadband antenna with aperture-coupled feed is proposed. With adjusted parameters, it exhibits a broad impedance bandwidth (VSWR ≤ 2) of about 60% (7GHz-13GHz). The proposed antenna is composed of two circle radiation elements fed by microstrip line and a step-shaped slot on the ground plane. The results show that the proposed antenna has a broad impedance bandwidth of about 60%. Along with the broad impedance bandwidth, the radiation pattern and gain of the antenna is investigated and discussed.
