Abstract :
The hardware architecture and characteristics of the excitation control system based on dsPIC are described in this paper. The generation method of firing pulse for controlled rectifier utilizing input capture and output compare modules of dsPIC is introduced. The software structure, CAN bus interface and Ethernet communication designs of automatic voltage regulator are presented. The high performance of this system has been proved by factory and filed testing.
