Abstract
In MIMO communication system, Turbo-BLAST based on random layered space-time coding and combination of iterative detection and decoding gains a high performance at the cost of computational complexity. The conventional iterative receiver based on soft interference cancellation still suffers a high complexity. For this reason, an improved low complexity soft detection algorithm is presented: By using the numeric character of transmitting signals which are regarded as discrete stochastic processes with ergodic properties, the instantaneous inverse matrices computation of the iterative detector is greatly simplified. Simulation results and qualitative analysis show that the proposed algorithm can reduce computational complexity with only little degradation of performance under the moderate channel.
