Abstract :
This paper describes a low voltage active RC low-pass filter operating in the frequency range needed in a baseband channel selection filter of a WCDMA receiver. The prototype of the filter is a 4th order Chebyshev with 0.1 dB ripple and the -3 dB bandwidth is 2 MHz. The input-referred noise is 210 μVRMS and the simulated dynamic range 68 dB. The simulated current consumption per pole is 680 μA. The tuning of the frequency response is implemented with binary weighted switched capacitor matrices with a 5-bit control. Design and simulation results for a 1.5 V active RC filter are presented
