Abstract :
In this paper, the design of a backstepping adaptive type-2 fuzzy controller for induction machine is addressed. The backstepping has been adopted to exploit the field oriented control scheme and to use only one control channel. Thus, the true and virtual control signals have been synthesised using two adaptive type-2 fuzzy systems to overcome the constraint on the knowledge of the machine parameters. These systems are adjusted on-line according to some adaptation law deduced from the stability analysis in the sense of Lyapunov. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
