Abstract :
Portability of designs between silicon foundries is addressed in light of recent capacity shortages and new business paradigms. Besides reviewing the relative merits of various porting methods we focus on presenting our successful implementation of many submicron designs using the physical port. The approach requires limited design resources, minimizes time to market but requires careful attention to silicon technology details
