Abstract :
This paper presents an efficient implementation of a real adaptive eigenfilter-bank, which makes use of the property that eigenvectors of a Toeplitz matrix are symmetric or skew symmetric. It is shown that the symmetric and skew-symmetric part can be adapted independently. As a result, the number of multiplications is roughly halved and the adaptive filter-bank exhibits faster convergence and tracking.
