Abstract :
A coaxial fed hexagonal dielectric resonator antenna (HDRA) is investigated experimentally. The return loss, impedance matching, radiation pattern, beam widths and gain of the antenna are measured and discussed. The antenna resonates at 2.05GHz with a 3dB bandwidth of 2.4% and an average gain of ∼7.7dB in the band.
