Abstract
This paper investigates further thermodynamic properties of the shot-noise model for nonlinear devices. Under the same constraint on the two Poisson process rates found in those papers, the shot-noise model satisfies thermodynamic requirements when connected to more general networks. Specific examples of a time-varying capacitor and a parallel combination of an inductor and a capacitor are developed. A heat engine is designed that extracts work from two shot-noise devices at different temperatures, and its efficiency is compared to the Carnot engine
