Abstract :
This paper deals with the synthetic aperture radar tomography (Tomo-SAR), which is a potential technique for three-dimensional SAR imaging by synthesizing the SAR images of the same area to an aperture in the vertical direction. However, the conventional Fourier-based methods are limited capable for the sparse baselines cases. In this paper, the Tomo-SAR with sparse baselines is formulated as a sparse signal recovery problem. Then, by solving it, the super-resolution imaging in elevation direction is obtained. The feasibility of the proposed approach is validated by results obtained from simulations with sparse baselines.
