  • Abstract
    A microprocessor-based CCD (charge-coupled device) image acquisition system has been developed with a resolution of up to 2048*2048 pixels. The system has onboard framestore, obeys a range of high-level commands, and is capable of maximizing image grey-scale dynamic range by optimizing exposure time and signal conversion parameters. The camera performance and functions are outlined.<>
