Abstract :
This paper presents a self power factor correction of a PDM ac/ac converter with three-phase diode rectifier. This correction considers that the dc-ac conversion stage consists of several inverters (G inverters), whose inputs are connected in parallel and the outputs in series through a high transformer. It results from this modification a better power-factor, a better distortion conditioning and a better use of the ac-supply parasitic inductance. Experimental results from a 2 kW - 110 kHz prototype are presented.
