Abstract :
Theme evolution analysis is an important topic that scholars in the field of bibliometrics and computational science have always had close attention to. While the disciplinary theme evolution research based on co-word analysis is mainly carried out in bibliometric field. Improved similarity method of disciplinary theme evolution based on co-word analysis has bettered the existing three similarity algorithms, and the analysis flow of which based on improved similarity method takes shape. The analysis flow of improved similarity method consists of two phases, theme network identification and theme evolution analysis. This paper particularly expounded four relevant analysis principles in order to provide theoretical support for disciplinary theme evolution similarity analysis based on improved similarity algorithms.
