Abstract :
This paper presents the optimal sizing and control strategy for stand-alone PV-battery-Diesel. The sizing method that is developed to establish the minimum capacity of the system components; however the optimal energy management strategy is developed to increase the reliability and the lifetime of system. The cuckoo search algorithm is introduced to minimize the cost of the system throughout its lifetime by finding the appropriate parameters off control.
