Abstract :
In this paper, we design and implement the dual-band square patch antenna for IEEE 802.11b (2.4GHz ∼ 2.4835 GHz) and IEEE 802.11a (5.725GHz ∼ 5.825GHz) frequency bands. The antenna was designed by using H-shaped slots. We designed patch antenna by using computer simulation program Ansoft Ensemble, and then some tuning followed with measurements. Measured -10dB bandwidths are 114MHz, 172MHz for low-band and high-band, respectively. And measured S11, maximum gains and half-power beamwidths are, -28dB, 8.45dBi, 72° for low-band at 2.440GHz and -16dB, 6.31dBi, 46° for high-band at 5.775GHz, respectively.
