Abstract :
This paper describes the execution of a conductor cable replacement of 4.5 km of a 138 kV transmission line in the state of Bahia, which has its right of way occupied by houses. The height of the conductor was low and it had the possibility of breaking of an energized conductor over the houses. There were many operational difficulties that determined that this service had to be done using live line technique, and therefore COELBA contracted HOT LINE to execute this unique service.
