Abstract :
It´s been demonstrated that the wave propagation method provides valid results for propagation angles up to 85° in optical elements such as waveguides, prisms and lenses. In this paper, we analyze the propagation of the higher order mode in a multi-material media with the WPM algorithm, and verify the validity of this approach by evaluating the spherical aberration of lenses with boundaries of critical curvature.
