Abstract :
A model based on mutual impedance theory has been developed to calculate cross-correlation coefficients and radiation efficiencies of two side-by-side λ/2 dipole antennas as a function of space separation. An analytical expression of the auto-correlation coefficient has been given and verified by measured results. Analytical formulas have been derived to calculate cross-correlation coefficients and radiation efficiencies of two coupled dipoles based on self and mutual impedance, auto-correlation coefficient, and load impedance. Effects of load impedance on cross-correlation coefficients and radiation efficiencies of two λ/2 dipole antennas are studied.
