Abstract
The ability to perform EMI measurements on an EUT requiring cleanliness requirements has represented a significant obstacle for many compliance testing agencies. Whether due to inexperience or concern with overly restrictive requirements, many agencies simply decline the opportunity outright. This paper details the approach and techniques used to gauge viability of performing EMI measurement testing on high reliability hardware with low particle count clean room requirements. The main emphasis is on exploring various options, outlining and weighing the benefits of each technique as well as determining the pertinent parameters involved with making a clean environment within an EMI chamber capable of performing EMI measurements.
