Abstract :
This paper investigates the PCS interference/intermodulation effects between CDMA1900 systems and PCS1900 systems, under the extreme near-far scenario. The intent of this study is to estimate the performance of actual networks by closely simulating real world environments in the laboratory. A series of experiments using real BTSs and handsets were conducted. The direct interference from A-band systems to C-band systems under a co-located scenario is also investigated. Possible network planning methods to mitigate the PCS interference effects are presented
