  • Abstract
    This paper tries to develop a multilevel transmission scheme for broadcasting data in wireless digital communication systems, which will allow users to have different data receiving rate according to the channel quality or the receiver ability. Multilevel coding and multiresolution modulation are the pivotal technology of this scheme. A set partitioning strategy and multistage decoding structure are discussed. The analysis and simulation results show that the performances of the system are both excellent in AGWN channel and multipath fading channel in SFN. The scheme can provide unequal error protection for different priority bits and achieve multilevel transmission for broadcasting data.
