Abstract :
Differential vias are analyzed based on quasi-static field, and then the relation between differential vias and differential mode impedance are presented. Also the differential vias with shielding grounded vias is analyzed. Full wave electromagnetic simulation is used to validate the availability of designed differential vias. A high speed digital system including daughter card and backplane is presented. Availability of the designed differential vias is also validated using the measured eye-diagram and BER result.
