Abstract :
A novel microstrip Yagi antenna with tunable radiation pattern and central frequency is presented. Microstrip Yagi antenna has a obvious disadvantage that the main lobe doesn´t easy to adjust. Our new antenna, choosing ferrite as its substrate, applied Yagi antenna´s principle microstrip antenna theory and the design experience of Yagi antenna. By using ferrite´s special characteristic, this antenna realizes tunable radiation pattern and centural frequency. All possible radiation pattern and centural frequency can be achieved by change the angle of magnetic bias.
