Abstract
We demonstrate a experimental study on the procedures of the K.60 recommendation of the ITU-T for use in measurements of electromagnetic interference of the PLC/BPL data communications systems over electric medium-voltage lines, through the unintentional irradiation over other HF communications systems operating in the same range of frequencies. Our experiments showed that the K.60 recommendation does not present satisfactory results when used to determine the spurious irradiation in real power line conditions and needs revision. The field tests were conducted in Brazil.
