Abstract :
This paper examines the effects of element position errors and subarray position errors on the sidelobe level of an ultra-low sidelobe array antenna with subarrays. The expressions are derived which relate the cumulative probability of sidelobe to the range of element position errors and subarray position errors. The relationship between element position errors, subarray position errors and total position errors is derived. Element position errors and subarray position errors of a two dimensional separable planar array antenna with subarrays, whose peak sidelobe is -40dB, are calculated.
