Abstract :
The Prony´s method and the Binary method are investigated from standpoints of error behavior in the frequency estimate, and are improved for estimating sine wave frequency. New technique to reduce the estimation errors by evaluating the standard deviation of intermediate parameter to detect the fluctuation in the estimate, is proposed. By implementing this technique, the errors in the frequency estimate are reduced by order of 1/5 - 1/100.
