Abstract :
Describes how the furnace hot process group at an IBM semiconductor manufacturing facility improved customer satisfaction by focusing on the way it interacted with its customers. The challenge was not to work harder, but to work smarter. Determining which areas needed the most improvement, actions taken to implement these improvements, and how progress was measured are discussed
