Abstract :
Multiuser detection is one of the receiver design technology for detection of the desired signal(s) from interference and noise. Conventional single user detector faced a problem of near-far effect. This effect is removed by using different multiuser detectors. These multiuser detectors are optimum Maximum Likelihood Detector, Parallel Interference cancellation scheme (PIC) and Successive Interference cancellation scheme (SIC). All these conventional techniques have a shortcoming of computational complexity besides they are not too much efficient. To overcome these shortcomings we have used Genetic Algorithm which is a search method used to generate useful solutions to optimization. The different approaches are used to generate the children chromosomes. The simulation result shows the comparison of considered approaches in form of form BER versus number of cycles and SNR.
