Abstract :
Using multiple reference frame and standard k-epsiv model, virtual performance experiment of a standard centrifugal pump is performed with a commercial software package, FLUENT. From the simulation result, a detailed situation of the flow in the pump is visualized, including the pressure distributions and velocity distributions. The performance curve is also drawn from the simulation result. By contrast, the simulated performance curves have a good agree with the experiment performance curves, especially at the normal flow rate situation.
