Abstract :
Four-stage method, which based on regional economic theory - is the most accurate and the most widely used forecasting methods in the variety of traffic volume, but its calculation is relatively complex for often requires iterative calculations. Four-stage traffic volume prediction method by use of TransCAD traffic forecasting would greatly reduce the computing process, meanwhile, the result of its prediction would be much more accurate according to its built-in and the actual extended prediction model. The author introduces the using method of the software by real example, also explains some normal questions briefly, and Pointed out the concerned problem in the use of TransCAD to predict traffic volume.
