Abstract :
The potential of multi-carrier, or orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM), for military HF communication is explored. In commercial OFDM systems a guard-time (or cyclic extension) is used to remove intersymbol interference (ISI). Furthermore, OFDM is normally used to support fairly high data rates. However, a robust stealth system is proposed. That is, the system has no guard-time and a high spreading factor (low data rate). A guard-time would simplify hostile detection of the transmitted signal. Finally, a Gaussian scrambler is tested
