Abstract :
Receiving sensitivity reduction by internal noise in digital wireless communication equipment becomes problematic due to auto-jamming issue. The internal noise in the equipment is very low level, broad and fluctuating. APD measurement can evaluate this type noise. Because APD correlates with the BER of digital communication system, APD measurement is useful for analyzing auto-jamming issue. Near-field mapping with APD can get clear distribution free from fluctuation of the noise and influence by thermal noise of the measurement system. It is necessary to measure both electric and magnetic field distributions for understanding the cause of auto-jamming. Therefore we have developed the APD mapping system, which measures electric and magnetic field simultaneously, for analyzing auto-jamming issue in digital wireless communication equipment.
