            Abstract :
The paper investigates various aspects of coordination in intelligent agent societies and makes progress toward a theory of coordination for such societies. A representative simulation model of an intelligent agent society, called the P-System, has been established to run systematically designed experiments. By running the P-System under different configurations, important descriptors of the structure and functioning of intelligent agent societies have been inferred, providing insight into the fundamental issues of coordination
