Abstract
This paper describes a visual simulation system of origami (paper folding art) which realizes interactive folding operations of paper such as `bending,´ `folding up´ and `tucking in´ in real-time. In the system, a piece of virtual paper is defined in a three dimensional (3D) virtual space and displayed on a graphic screen. An operator can fold it freely and iteratively, manipulating it as if he is folding a real paper
