Abstract :
The extremum control strategy (ECS) is one method to maximize or minimize a cost function which denotes efficiency benefit, loss and so on. As the design method of the ECS, Krsitic and Wang´s (1997) method using an averaging technique has attracted a lot of interest. We propose a design method for the ECS based on the above method and apply it to control the pitch angle of a windmill such that the windmill can receive the wind energy maximally
