Abstract :
A method for automatic analysis has been developed for images directly transferred from an echocardiograph to a microcomputer. After image enhancement of a cardiac cycle, the authors use a novel method for automatic extraction of myocardial borders that is based on template matching by dynamic programming to compute parameters for left ventricular function.<>
