Abstract :
A novel type of dielectric waveguide filter has been developed for future mobile communications. The filter is featured by planar I/O terminals as well as a practical low profile structure. Fabricated 2-pole and 3-pole filters exhibit low insertion losses of 1.3 dB and 0.8 dB, respectively, for bandwidth of 200 MHz at 5.8 GHz center frequency.
