Abstract
A three-dimensional quasi-optical source is presented, consisting of several C-band grid oscillators mounted on a photonic-crystal cube. By allowing the grids to oscillate at a frequency along the band edge of the PC, back-radiation from each grid mutually injection-locks the others. Experimental results indicate that this structure is potentially useful for omnidirectional active antennas.
