Title :
Tele-cybernetics: implications for the international marketplace
Author :
Mihram, G. Arthur ; Mihram, Danielle
Abstract :
The term tele-cybernetics is introduced and its meaning is etymologically derived from its precursor, cybernetics. The authors offer a personal response to an unpublished address given at the 1987 Pacific Telecommunications Conference by R.W. Sturm, an AT&T vice president. They specifically discuss the evolution of telecommunications and the international marketplace, viewing the global corporation to be the result of the rise of information technologies and telecommunications hardware
