Abstract :
Traditional ultrasound image systems use analog converters to modulate the intensity of CRT according to the echo signal amplitude. Using a minicomputer and ICs the authors developed an intelligent digital scanning system for use in phased-array ultrasonic equipment. The digital scanning system has a 256*256-pixel grid image with 16 gray levels. Four different models can be displayed on a TV monitor. Interpolation is carried out to eliminate moire artifacts.<>
