Abstract :
This paper presents a new type of design method for IP telephony gateway which is base on the soft-switch technology. It designs the hardware circuit with TMS320C5402 as its core and develops a telephone communication protocol which is based on UDP / IP. The Trunk Gateway supports MGCP protocol standards. Besides, it can fulfill lots of functions including audio processing, voice codec, and signaling tone generation and detection.
