Abstract :
Civilian and corresponding military EMC standards are compared with respect to measurement techniques, frequency coverage and limits. In most cases differences occur with respect to each of these characteristics so that direct substitution is not possible. However, by making detailed analyses of the differences while considering the particular military environment in which civilian equipment might be applied, the risk associated with its use may be reduceable to an acceptable level
