Abstract :
This paper describes a Chemical Inventory management System (CIS) embedded in a semiconductor CIM in order to control material inventory in a stock house. A basic concept is well known as MRP system resulting in a redundant inventory inevitably because of using a fixed consumption ratio for a production unit. CIS has two thresholds, a purchasing order point and safety stock warning point which are adjustable per material based on the real last consumption rate. Bar-code labels are printed on all materials and read when receiving them from suppliers and dispatching to a wafer-fab
